Warning Signs

Is Your System Trying to Tell You Something?

Most water treatment problems start small — a slight change in taste, a faint spot on a glass, or a quietly running system. Catching these early saves you from a full breakdown and expensive emergency repair.

  • Water spots returning on dishes and glassware
  • Low water pressure at multiple faucets
  • Salty or metallic taste in your water
  • System making unusual noises or running continuously
  • Orange or brown staining reappearing on sinks and tubs
  • Water softener using too much salt (or none at all)
  • RO faucet dripping or producing very little water
  • Foul odor from any treated water tap

If you notice any of these, give us a call. A quick diagnostic visit costs far less than replacing a system that was neglected.

Repair FAQ

Common Repair Questions

Do you service all water softener brands?
Yes. Our technicians are trained on all major residential brands including Fleck, Clack, Kinetico, Culligan, GE, Whirlpool, EcoWater, and WaterBoss. If you have a less common brand, give us a call — we've likely worked on it before.
How quickly can you come out for a repair?
Most non-emergency repairs are scheduled within 2–3 business days. For urgent issues like leaks or complete system failures, we offer same-day or next-day service across our entire service area.
How much does a water softener repair cost?
Repair costs depend on what's wrong — a simple salt bridge clearing or valve adjustment might be our minimum service call, while a control board replacement costs more. We always diagnose first and give you a clear, upfront quote before any work begins. No surprises.
How often should I have my water softener serviced?
We recommend an annual inspection and brine tank cleaning for most systems. RO systems should have their pre-filters changed every 6–12 months and the membrane every 2–3 years depending on usage and incoming water quality.
What's included in a maintenance visit?
A standard maintenance visit includes: water hardness and quality testing, brine tank inspection and clean-out, control valve cycle check, filter inspection, salt level check, and a written report on your system's condition with any recommendations.
